Day 5 – Hanoi – Morning flight to Hue (B)

This morning, you take a short flight to Hue. Upon arrival, pick up and transfer to hotel for check in. In the afternoon, you enjoy a cyclo ride to the Imperial Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City. Visit Thien Mu Pagoda and take a boat along the Perfume River. Overnight in Hue.

Day 6 – Hue City Tour – Transfer to Hoian (B,L)

After breakfast, you will visit the mausoleum of former emperor Minh Mang, in a tranquil setting of gardens and lakes, the elaborate mausoleums of Emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh After lunch, you will transfer to the UNESCO World Heritage listed Hoi An, stopping at Marble Mountains and My Khe beach en route. Day 7 – Hoian – My Son (B,L)

Breakfast is served at hotel then meet our guide with private transfer to visit My Son: a World Heritage site, 40 km southwest of Hoi An. Located in a lush valley, My Son was a capital and religious center of Cham people, with red brick towers and sanctuaries, considered to be in the same league as some of Southeast Asia’s greatest archaeological sites, including Angkor-Wat in Cambodia, Bagan in Myanmar, Ayutthaya in Thailand and Borobudur in Indonesia. These towers and sanctuaries were built from the 7 to 13 centuries.In the afternoon, you will walk to visit ancient tiny town Hoi an. The visit will includes Japanese covered bridge, some Chinese Assembly Halls, and some typical Vietnamese houses of 18 century. Day 8 – Tra Que herb village half day tour – Beach relaxation (B,L)

Depart at your hotel in Hoi an at 8:30, you will ride by bicycle to Tra Que Vegetable Village (3kms far from Hoian). It is time for you to experience a day of living and working with the local farmers in this village.A tour of the organic vegetable and herb gardens can include some time working in the field if you like, or merely observing and learning about the system and the fresh ingredients.Back to Tra Que’s family house, you will be working together with our family chef to learn the traditional ways of preparing and cooking Vietnamese food. A morning boat trip on Nha Trang bay visits some of the nearby islands, fishing village and there are opportunities to swim and snorkel in the clear warm waters. After a fresh seafood lunch at one of the islands in the bay return to shore for a short afternoon city tour including the Po Nagar Cham Towers, Long Son Pagoda with its enormous white Buddha statue and the lively Dam Market. Day 11 – Nha Trang – Transfer to Dalat (B,L)

After breakfast, take about 3.5 hour drive to Dalat. After lunch you will visit Bao Dai palace where the last Emperor of Vietnam – Bao Dai (1913-1997) stayed and ruled his Vietnam from 1949 to 1954, visit Truc Lam Zen Monastery – The largest Zen Monastery of Vietnam in Dalat city, Tuyen Lam Lake – The nicest Lake of Dalat and Prenn Waterfall – Prenn is one of the water falls retained the pristine of the Highland mountains. Then back to hotel and overnight in Dalat.

Day 12 – Dalat (B,L)

Day 13 – Dalat – Transfer to Ho Chi Minh City (B,L)

After breakfast start to drive from Dalat to Ho Chi Minh City at 8.00AM. Along the scenic 7 hour drive along Highway 20 to Saigon will be broken up by stops at some of the tea and coffee plantations. Then visit Pongour Fall. It is located in the primeval jungle; only trails are enough for just hunter’s foot. In the past, to go to these falls, people must go through many difficulties, but in 1999, Pongour jungle was opened. Located in Tan Hoi commune, Duc Trong district, 45km to Da Lat, it is about 7km from Highway 20. Travelers give Pongour nickname “The first Southern extraction waterfall first Southern extraction”. Day 15 – Cu Chi Tunnels and Cao Dai Temple (B/L)

Around 8 AM meet our guide and driver for private pick up and start to visit Cu Chi Tunnel: Located 60km from Ho Chi Minh city, Cu Chi is now considered a heroic district for its role in the anti – American war in Vietnam. It is legendary for its tunnels system of over 220km and is a popular spot for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors. The peacefully rural rice paddy scenery contains ducks and water buffalos swimming in the rivers alongside the road. Visitors will find it hard to imagine the destructions, damage and defoliation all over the area, caused by bombing and mines, When Cu Chi was “A Free Target Zone “. The remnants visitors will see show Cu Chi still has her evidence to prove the fierce battleground that took place there and visitors will see the remnants. After lunch, travel by road to Tay Ninh province. Day 16 – Chi Minh City – Cai Be – Vinh Long – Can Tho (Mekong Delta) (B/L/D)

Breakfast is served at hotel, check out then we depart for Cai Be, deep in the Mekong Delta, and embark on a cruise on the private boat. The tour begins with a visit of the colourful Cai Be floating market, followed by a visit to some locale home factories that produce rice paste, rice popcorn and coconut candy. Proceed to evergreen islands among the Mekong River through a large network of meandering tributaries, crisscrossed with countless arroyos. Lunch is eaten at a fruit orchard before the cruise to Vinh Long to discover beautiful landscapes along the river and observe the typical Mekong Delta rural life. After breakfast at hotel, we travel by roads to Tay Ninh to see the ornate temple of Cao Dai and attend the fantastic mid-day service when the followers fill the hall wearing colored robes, a symbol of the curious combination of the Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. Afterwards, we continue going to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, which were an incredible underground network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. Day 3 – Mighty Mekong Delta (B, L)

After breakfast at hotel, we will visit Cai Be floating market. On the way, we will stop for photos at Tan An town over the flat rice fields. On arriving in Cai Be, we start the motorized boat to visit the Cai Be floating market, experience how people exchanging goods, fruit, and many other commodities on their vessels. Visitors then roam into the small villages to visit the orchards. After that, we keep cruising to Vinh Long through small canals to enjoy the charm of the Upper Mekong Delta. After seeing the Jade Emperor Pagoda and the War Remnant Museum, we continue our trip on to the bustling Ben Thanh Market where anything and everything is for sale. Our driver will transfer you to hotel for refresh and breakfast.Begin your day in Hanoi by visiting Uncle Ho’s Mausoleum, his residence area, One Pillar pagoda nearby and Tran Quoc pagoda. Next destination is Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam ( The temple of Literature and The first university in Vietnam). Then you will have one hour cyclo tour (trishaws) around Old Quarters, Ngoc Son temple, and Hoan Kiem lake (with a legend of the lake of restored sword) and continue by one hour of Traditional Water Puppet Shows at Thang Long Theatre.After finishing city tour, you will back to hotel to fresh up, prepare luggage and take a night train to Lao Cai. Upon arrive to Lao Cai around 5:30AM, you will be transfer to Sapa. Breakfast and relax. Around 10am, get down to a valley, visit an H’mong village and the hydro electric power station built by the French. Day 12 – Sapa – Bac Ha Market – Ban Pho Village – Night train back to Hanoi (B,L,D)

After having early breakfast in the morning we drive to Bac Ha Market. It takes us 2.5 hour driving to get there.This is the largest market in the region, a place where many ethnic groups gather to buy and sell, eat and drink together. There are 10 minority groups in the Bac Ha region. You can buy homemade handicrafts and clothes. In the afternoon you will have a 2 hour trek to Ban Pho village (Flower H’Mong people). In the village we can have a look in their house and understand little more about their lifestyle and traditional customs.Then transfer back to Lao Cai train station, dinner will be served in Lao Cai before get on the train turn back to Hanoi.
